Herb Dickstein was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1932.  He attended public school, then NYU uptown, and medical school in Belgium. As a lifelong artist, he has explored photography, drawing, sculptures, and painting in various media. His current work explores a combination of cotton denim string, white glue, and water based oil paint.
